LMA was firstly recognized (7th October 2014) by the Government of Spain as a joint National Facility together with the CNME (from Universidad Complutense of Madrid). This recognition lead to the constitution of ELECMI, the Integrated <\/strong>Infrastructure for Electron Microscopy of Materials, which holds an ICTS distinction (ICTS is a Spanish acronym from: Instalaci\u00f3n Cient\u00edfico T\u00e9cnica Singular).<\/strong> This ICTS allows users from research centers, national and international laboratories and industry to carry out experiments and pursue groundbreaking research.<\/p>\n ELECMI <\/strong>was distinguished again as an ICTS<\/strong> in the revised map of National Infrastructures in 2018 with the addition of two new nodes to ELECMI, namely, the University of Cadiz and the University of Barcelona.
